Morgan Hill has approved plans for Poppy Ranch Shopping Center, a 59,314-square-foot development at the southwest corner of Cochrane Road and DePaul Drive anchored by a 23,299-square-foot grocery store, according to the city’s project page.
The design permit covers the grocery store, four commercial buildings ranging from 6,071 to 9,005 square feet, a pad of about 4,000 square feet and temporary landscaping. The city lists the project’s planning entitlements as approved. It went through an administrative approval, with a recorded Zoom meeting dated June 9, 2026.
The project page does not name the grocery tenant, the developer or a construction timeline. The city determined the project is exempt under Section 15183 of the California Environmental Quality Act.
The project number is SR2026-0005. Senior Planner Tiffany Brown handles it and can be reached at Tiffany.Brown@MorganHill.CA.gov or 408-310-4655.
