The City of Gilroy and its Arts and Culture Commission are asking local artists to submit designs for banners that will hang from streetlight poles along Monterey Road downtown, according to the city.
This is the third year of the "For the Love of Gilroy" campaign. Designs are two-dimensional and should reflect the town’s art and culture. Selection is competitive.
Submissions are due by 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3. Artists can upload designs at gilroy.city/artform or drop off a packet at the information desk at Gilroy City Hall, 7351 Rosanna St., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Banner templates are on the city’s "For the Love of Gilroy" page.
